09 - Manager, Supply Chain 1
- Manage the purchase of all direct and indirect materials for manufacturing operations.
- Manage inventory levels and control systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Manage overall warehouse and receiving to ensure smooth operations.
Detailed Description
Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:
- Ensure purchases are in compliance with Company standard policy and procedures.
- Be responsible for the procurement of commodities following the commodity strategies plans and the management of supplier relationships.
- Liaise with vendors and suppliers to ensure prompt deliveries.
- Negotiate pricing and delivery terms, developing competitive but collaborative vendor partnerships.
- Ensure all import and export documentation is in compliance with Local Authority and Company procedures.
- Identify and develop training opportunities.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, both internal and external.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Business Studies / Purchasing / Materials Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 8 years of working experience in Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Good understanding of materials management and inventory systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in SAP and S4 system is an added advantage.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Customs and GST/SST is required.
- Manage and liaise with local Authorities (Customs, SST, DOE, etc.).
