We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director, Product Development, Juices to join our dynamic team. This role is instrumental in driving innovation and excellence within the Juices Category for Latin America, encompassing end-to-end responsibility from strategy development to commercialization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise, creativity, strategic insight, and strong collaboration skills to leverage our global network of expertise.
What You'll Do for Us:
- Lead and manage the Global Development and Innovation (GDI) agenda for the Juices Category in Latin America, overseeing all aspects of innovation, regulatory, quality improvement, productivity, and business continuity programs.
- Drive the end-to-end process from strategy development to solution implementation and commercialization, ensuring alignment with the broader category strategies.
- Serve as an active member of the LATAM Extended Category Team, collaborating with marketing and innovation peers to ensure cohesive category strategies.
- Maintain strong connections and collaboration with the Global Juices Category Team and relevant communities of practice.
- Provide visionary leadership to support the evolution of the GDI function, inspiring innovation and future-oriented thinking within the organization.
- Responsible for thoughtful resource allocation within the category, ensuring GDI work aligns with category strategy.
- Create and maintain a 3+ year innovation pipeline for the category (4:2:1 model), identifying and implementing key technical capabilities needed for success.
- Manage the Technical, Innovation & Supply Chain (TI&SC) timeline of the Category’s Project Portfolio, including risk analysis and resolution within the GDI scope.
- Establish effective communication channels with the GDI network, the Operating Unit’s Extended Category Team, global communities, suppliers, partners, and associations.
- Foster strong relationships with supply chain stakeholders (Operating Unit, Commercial Product Supply, Procurement, Bottlers) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Engage with Scientific and Regulatory Affairs (SRA) for advocacy and compliance, mapping future threats to the category and recommending proactive actions.
- Lead, measure, track, and maximize the performance of the direct team, developing and implementing talent and potential development plans.
- Serve as a role model for the extended GDI Team, driving high performance and professional growth within the team.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Advanced English level.
- 10+ years of extensive knowledge and experience in Research and Development roles, with a strong emphasis on the food and beverage industry.
- Proven experience integrating end-to-end technical scopes for innovation projects, including project management, supply chain, and quality assurance.
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and influence cross-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing and positively impacting teams.
- Experience creating and analyzing business cases, including the financial assessment of projects.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards, ensuring all products meet stringent quality requirements.
- Familiarity with consumer science and marketing, understanding consumer needs and translating them into innovative product solutions.
