Senior IT Developer

Role

As Senior IT Developer, you will be responsible for creating well-designed, scalable, and responsive web applications, as well as supporting the business with IT tools and systems. You will be integral in ensuring the stability, performance, and continuous improvement of web projects and operational systems, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in web development, an in-depth understanding of modern technologies, and the ability to contribute to both tactical and strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain well-tested code using best practices for web development, with a strong focus on responsive design and mobile display.
• Build websites and user interfaces using standard HTML, CSS, and JavaScript practices, while ensuring seamless integration with back-end databases and services.
• Perform UI design and coding, creating reusable objects, wireframes, and templates for web pages and email communications.
• Ensure that all web content is optimized for accessibility and responsiveness across all browsers and devices.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain operational systems, tools, and processes that enhance business operations.
• Provide software application support and help troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Participate in both tactical and strategic development projects to support the organization's growth.
• Create and maintain workflows for teams to enhance visibility, balance workloads, and ensure the timely delivery of projects.
• Ensure software stability via regression testing and support quality assurance efforts by performing unit and user-acceptance testing.
• Develop and validate testing schedules to address all browsers and devices, ensuring consistent performance across different platforms.
• Identify and resolve bugs, ensuring that web applications are stable, efficient, and user-friendly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve existing websites and develop plans for larger projects.
• Make small edits requested by customers and provide technical recommendations for optimizing and improving web interfaces and functionalities.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve development practices and tools.

Skills

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with a focus on language processing or software development.
• 3-5+ years of hands-on experience in coding with C# and ASP.NET Core.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, and modern HTML/CSS.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work, including concepts like security, session management, and best development practices.
• Adequate knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and web application development principles.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
• Proficiency in using MVC (Model-View-Controller) architecture.
• Experience with APIs and Web Services, ensuring seamless integration with third-party systems.
• A strong foundation in SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services) for reporting and data visualization.
