Senior IT Auditor - Roles and Responsibilities

As a Senior in IT Audit, you will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients across different industries, performing vital audit and assurance activities. You will be an integral part of our dynamic audit teams, contributing to the success of complex and challenging engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engagement Planning & Execution: Collaborate with the audit team to understand business processes and help identify the scope for IT audit procedures, including testing automated controls, data analysis and other relevant audit tasks to address financial audit risks.
2. IT Audit Plan & Budgeting: Prepare, communicate, and manage the IT audit plan, timelines, and budget in alignment with project expectations and resources.
3. Audit Procedures: Perform fieldwork, including IT risk assessments, testing of automated/application controls, general IT controls, system-generated reports, and interface controls to ensure accurate risk mitigation.
4. Client Communication: Act as a liaison between the audit team, senior management, and client personnel to effectively communicate issues and findings and strengthen client relationships.
5. Quality Service Delivery: Ensure the timely and quality delivery of client services while adhering to KPMG policies, professional standards, and firm best practices.
6. Project & Relationship Management: Oversee multiple concurrent engagements, managing client expectations and ensuring work is executed in accordance with agreed-upon deadlines.
7. Reporting & Documentation: Maintain clear, concise, and accurate engagement documentation and reports for review by senior managers and partners.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in IT Audit.
2. Big4 experience with a background in IT External Audit.
3. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Commerce, or a related discipline.
4. Telecom IT audit experience.
5. A CISA or other relevant certifications.
6. Hands-on experience in applications such as SAP, Oracle EBS, Fusion.
7. Proficient in data analytical tools such as Alteryx to provide insights and ensure the accuracy of audit results.
8. Experience planning and managing IT audit fieldwork, ensuring deliverables meet specifications and deadlines.
9. A strong understanding of business processes and automated application controls.
10. Skilled in performing risk mitigation procedures, including identifying and testing compensating controls.
11. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team and with clients.
12. The willingness to work the hours necessary to meet deadlines and client needs.
13. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and an understanding of data analysis techniques.
