You will provide support to the Chief Steward in managing the stewarding department. Your role involves assisting in supervising the stewarding team, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the efficient operation of kitchen facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise Stewarding Team: Support the Chief Steward in supervising the stewarding team, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
• Cleanliness and Organization: Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and organization of kitchen equipment, utensils, and workspaces, adhering to strict health and safety guidelines.
• Inventory Management: Help monitor and maintain inventory of kitchen and dining equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Silverware and Glassware Maintenance: Coordinate the cleaning and polishing of silverware, glassware, and chinaware, ensuring they are spotless and ready for use at all times.
• Training and Development: Assist in training the stewarding team on proper cleaning and sanitation procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
• Hygiene and Sanitation: Help enforce hygiene and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance.
• Safety and Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining safety and cleanliness in food storage areas, adhering to company policies and procedures.
• Culinary Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure the availability of clean and sanitized equipment, promoting a seamless workflow and exceptional guest experience.
• Scheduling and Staffing: Support in managing stewarding schedules, staffing levels, and performance, ensuring optimal coverage and minimizing waste.
• Concern Resolution: Address stewarding-related concerns or issues as needed, providing solutions and implementing improvements to enhance the overall guest experience.
• Budget Control: Assist in monitoring and controlling stewarding budgets and expenses, identifying areas for cost reduction and implementing cost-saving measures.
• Recruitment and Training: Participate in the recruitment and training of the stewarding team, promoting a culture of excellence and developing the skills and expertise required to excel in this role.
• Health and Safety: Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly manner to safeguard the health and safety of guests and colleagues, as well as contribute to environmental conservation, adhering to company policies and procedures.
