Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Chemist with a strong analytical background in ICP-OES, chromatography (GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-TOGA, HPLC), FTIR, and other advanced analytical instruments. The ideal candidate should have at least 3+ years of experience in a laboratory environment, demonstrating expertise in instrumental analysis, method development, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform routine and advanced analyses using ICP-OES, GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-TOGA, HPLC, FTIR, and other analytical instruments.
  2. Ensure instruments are properly calibrated, maintained, and optimized for accurate and precise results.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to analytical instruments.
  4. Develop and validate analytical methods for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
  5. Optimize testing procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reproducibility.
  6. Conduct sample preparation techniques, including digestion, extraction, and derivatization.
  7. Perform analysis in compliance with industry standards such as ASTM, ISO, EPA, and USP.
  8. Analyze and interpret data using statistical tools and software.
  9. Prepare detailed reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  10. Maintain accurate records of all laboratory activities and test results.

Quality Control & Compliance:

  1. Follow Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO 17025, and internal QA/QC protocols.
  2. Conduct proficiency testing and participate in internal/external audits.
  3. Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with HSE guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Expertise in ICP-OES, GC-MS, GC-FID, GC-TOGA, HPLC, FTIR, and other analytical instruments.
  3. Strong knowledge of chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.
  4. Experience in method development, validation, and troubleshooting.
  5. Proficiency in instrument software (e.g., Chromeleon, MassHunter, OpenLab, ChemStation, Clarity, ICP Analyst).
  6. Strong skills in data analysis and reporting.
  7. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  8. Excellent attention to detail and documentation practices.
  9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Experience:

  1. Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Environmental, Petrochemical, or Industrial laboratories.
  2. Knowledge of regulatory compliance (e.g., ISO 17025, EPA, ASTM, USP, GMP).
  3. Experience with LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems).
