We offer a 12-month contract for this position.

In this role, you will be responsible for the design of weld joints for pressure vessels and mechanical components according to ASME or EN code. Moreover, you will be responsible for identifying state-of-the-art welding techniques, developing and implementing new and improved weld joint designs, and welding processes for use in the production of components.

As a Welding Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Following projects to improve welding process capability.
• Providing welding design for the production components.
• Assessing production trends.
• Following production failure analysis and mentoring others along the way.
• Supporting the design of necessary tooling and fixturing.
• Participating in NPI (New Product Introduction) programs consisting of design, development, prototyping, and manufacturing implementation.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Material or Mechanical Engineering Degree.
• Hold a Certification of welding engineer from Welding Italian Institute (CSWIP 3.1).
• Show experience working within regulated industries.
• Be an expert with ASME Section IX Code, EN ISO3834.
• Display experience with TIG, micro, spot, and laser welding.
• Show experience with stainless steel, nickel alloys, aluminum, and titanium.
• Be an expert with various failure analysis tools and methods and proven experience in problem-solving and failure analysis.
• Show effective interpersonal and leadership skills and be able to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
• Show expertise with 3D tools.
