Job Description

We’re a small, fully remote web design and development agency looking for a highly independent, proactive team member who thrives in a remote role combining strategic thinking with operational oversight.

As Website Strategist (Content & UX) & Operational Manager, you’ll lead the strategic planning of content-driven websites and landing pages while also ensuring smooth day-to-day operations across all projects. You’ll shape web experiences from the ground up—defining page structures, content flow, and messaging strategy—while managing team coordination, QA processes, timelines, and client communication.

This role is perfect for someone who’s equally confident sketching wireframes as they are jumping in to troubleshoot project bottlenecks or follow up with a contractor. You’ll wear many hats, play a critical role across departments, and help keep projects organized, on track, and high-quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop content-first strategies and UX wireframes for websites and landing pages based on client goals and user behavior.
  • Plan messaging hierarchies, user journeys, and content flow across key web pages.
  • Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and writers to bring ideas to life.

Operational Management

  • Own internal project organization, status tracking, and documentation.
  • Coordinate and support contractors and freelancers (onboarding, timesheets, availability).
  • Ensure quality assurance before launches—checking layout, copy, responsiveness, and functionality.
  • Assist in reviewing and managing contracts and basic legal documents.
  • Communicate proactively with clients and the internal team to keep projects moving.
  • Jump into whatever’s needed—whether it’s content input, scheduling meetings, or unblocking project roadblocks.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in content strategy, UX, or web-related roles.
  • Ability to create page wireframes and define content structures with business and user goals in mind.
  • Strong ownership mentality—you take initiative and solve problems before they escalate.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with tools like Figma, Notion, Google Docs, and project management platforms.
  • Bonus: Familiarity with Webflow, Shopify, or WordPress, and/or basic HTML/CSS knowledge.
  • Bonus: Experience in operations or project coordination in small teams or agency environments.
  • Nice to Have (but Not Required): Outstanding UX and content strategy skills can offset other missing experience.
  • Experience in creative or tech agency environments is a big plus.
