The opportunity

We are looking for a Warranty PM that will manage multiple ongoing Warranty projects for Grid and Power quality Solution Operating Unit where you will be the main point of contact for the customer, internal as well as external.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Manage Warranty Phase: responsible for organizing outstanding items to be resolved, identifying new items during the warranty phase, and developing and presenting action plans for these items.
  • Handover to Warranty Team: ensure and oversee the smooth transition of projects from execution to warranty phase, ensuring that all contractual obligations and pending items are communicated and managed.
  • Handling a wide range of tasks in the projects such as fault investigation, coordination of site activities and customer relationship. Manage and solve upcoming quality issues for your assigned projects together with engineering team, suppliers and customer.
  • Project Leadership: Leads the project team, allocating project tasks, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all tasks.
  • Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project. Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal final acceptance of the project, contract close-out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
  • Contract claims and procurement management: Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with Hitachi Energy policies and contractual agreements. Coordinates with Supply Chain Management, and successfully enforces supplier warranties, mitigating cost impact on the project.
  • Stakeholder relations: Acts as key contact for the customer and troubleshooter point for warranty project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
  • In parallel to the main activity of Warranty Project Manager and according to the planned workload, there is also the opportunity to lead the execution of small/medium size projects as Project Manager ensuring that all related activities are performed in accordance with Hitachi Energy policy, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
  • Health, safety, and environment (HSE): Ensures the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.

Your background:

  • Bachelor's/Master’s degree in an engineering field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management of Warranty Projects of medium size with a focus on EPC project, in addition to experience working on construction sites; experience in Electrical System industry (T&D or Power Generation) is an advantage.
  • Previous experience with Italian utilities is a plus (Terna/Enel/Edison).
  • Experience managing projects under different contractual models both in Italian public and private sector (i.e. FIDIC, Codice dei Contratti Pubblici).
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAP and Microsoft Project.
  • Proactive and highly organized, experience in coordinating team also in remote locations.
  • Available to travel nationally & internationally, as needed (average 25%).
