Warehouse Associate- Temp to Perm, Overtime Available

Warehouse Associate

Pay: $18/hour

Shift Details:
Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Some Saturdays, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM

This is a temp to perm position, with overtime for the remainder of peak season!

Required Footwear:
Steel or composite toe shoes are required for this position.

About the Role:
As a Warehouse Associate, you will play a vital role in ensuring freight is efficiently processed and delivered to where it needs to go. You’ll work alongside a skilled management team with deep knowledge of the transportation industry, helping to ensure smooth operations within our warehouse. This position is hiring with high priority - get started right away!

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders with sales orders.
• Distribute orders to sales associates for processing.
• Read and interpret customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed, or shipped.
• Maintain a safe and accessible warehouse environment for both employees and customers.
• Adhere to safety protocols and policies, ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe manner.
• Assemble products and participate in inventory counts as needed.
• Handle check calls from drivers to ensure timely deliveries and validate load data for accurate accounting.
• Monitor daily pickups and deliveries, ensuring that all loads arrive on time and in good condition.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on fluctuating freight volumes. Overtime is available with this position during peak business.
• Previous experience in a dock or warehouse environment is a plus.
• Experience with loading/unloading trailers and using handheld scanners.
• Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammed instructions and apply critical thinking.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift, push, or pull at least 75 pounds.
• Ability to load and unload trucks as part of daily tasks.
