Job Description
Ubisoft Milan is looking for a talented UI Artist who will be responsible for designing, prototyping, and creating the graphic elements of the videogame interface and the menu, to make the game user-friendly.
In particular, the responsibilities will be the following:
- Develop concepts and the design of the game menus and user interfaces (illustrations, menus, buttons, HUD, pop-ups…) according to the art direction, and consistent throughout the entire project;
- Development of the best possible flow according to the user experience to deliver;
- Assure that game information is well conveyed through the various user interfaces;
- Determine gameplay with the collaboration of the game designer and the art direction;
- Create all facets of the User Interface including: illustrations, mockups, wireframes, icons, animations, UI style guides, general art and documentation, and final assets, in both prototypes and final products;
- Deliver the assets in the proper quality, format, and time;
- Technical integration in the engine, bug fixing, and visual polish of final design;
- Work closely with Artists, Programmers, and Designers to ensure the quality of the integration of the UI.
Qualifications
Role requirements:
- BA in art media, graphic design, or equivalent relevant experience;
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop;
- Ability to design and implement UI solutions to improve the ergonomic quality of the game;
- Written and oral English.
As a bonus:
- Previous experience of at least 2 years as UI Artist in the videogame industry;
- Experience on motion graphics;
- Knowledge of a game engine (e.g. Unreal Engine, Unity,...);
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects;
- Proficiency in 3D Modeling tools;
- Passion and enthusiasm for videogames.
