Job Title: Deployment/Integration Testing Engineer

Job Description - Triage Engineer

1. Ensuring timely and high-quality software releases across various devices.
2. Overseeing the entire release lifecycle, including deployment, triage, mitigation, and tool development.
3. Collaborating with development and QA teams for smooth release operations.
4. Evaluating and implementing new tools, plugins, etc., to enhance the software release and triage process.
5. Identifying and managing risks that could impact release scope, schedule, or quality.
6. Diagnosing and resolving issues using Linux systems and networking protocols, including packet capture analysis.
7. Developing techniques and solutions to proactively identify and address system issues.
8. Analyzing vast amounts of monitoring data (system logs, performance metrics, error rates) to detect patterns and anomalies.
9. Conducting in-depth analyses of incidents and problems to pinpoint the underlying causes.
10. Utilizing data from various sources (error logs, performance metrics, user feedback) for root cause identification.
11. Designing and enhancing operational tools to improve system performance.
12. Analyzing data to provide valuable insights and support decision-making.
13. Utilizing AWS technologies (S3, Athena, QuickSight) for data management and visualization.
14. Leading teams, mentoring colleagues, and effectively communicating technical insights to stakeholders.

Skillset:

1. 5+ years of C/C++ and Linux experience.
2. Defect Tracking Tools such as Jira.
3. 2+ years of experience as a technical lead and mentoring a small team of engineers.
4. Experience with one of the following scripting languages: BASH, Go, Python.
5. Experience with AWS, Azure, or other cloud infrastructure.
6. Experience with monitoring systems (i.e. Datadog, CloudWatch, etc.).
7. Familiarity with continuous integration/deployment processes and tools such as Jenkins, Concourse, etc.
8. Knowledge and experience in set-top boxes, broadband gateways, networking, or home security domain.
