The Department
Our reservations teams are the dynamic interface between our global network of sales offices around the world and our suppliers throughout Europe and the Middle East.
We book everything from a suite in a five stars hotel in Dubai to a meal in a Chinese restaurant in Dublin … and everything in between.
Building strong and successful relationships with our suppliers ensures that we can offer our customers the best possible service at the lowest possible prices, and our teams are responsible for delivering against these objectives.
The Role
To work within the Transportation team to process Long Distance Coach requests: new requests, amendments, and cancellations quickly, efficiently and accurately.
Key Activities:
- Reports on over/under budget in different areas/suppliers;
- Weekly reports related to LDC bookings;
- Monitor G2 system for Paris Pass parking and update the system accordingly;
- Monitor G2 system for Venice parking and update the system accordingly;
- Monitoring G2 system for tours not received by Transportation team and adds them in planning;
- Daily allocation of the tours in planning based on long-distance coach criteria;
- Monitor the status of the bookings and highlight to management any potential issues;
- Prioritise workload as and when necessary;
- Undertake, as requested, other tasks or projects and complete within the given time frame;
- Educate and familiarise self with knowledge of product and suppliers;
- Ensure good communication with colleagues and management;
- Provide feedback and identify any new ideas and/or problems.
The Requirements
- Previous experience/working knowledge of reservations or operations in the Travel/Hospitality industry is preferable;
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills;
- Detail oriented person;
- Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritize;
- Ability to work with tight deadlines and react to emergency situations;
- Good communication and reporting skills;
- Excellent knowledge of English language;
