Job Description

Job Summary:
The Infrared Training Center is the world leader in thermography training and consulting services. Our team is passionate about delivering superior training solutions for a diverse and rapidly growing customer base with an established presence in industrial markets. Our training courses help customers increase job safety and reliability to better serve their clients and community.

As a Training Specialist, your contributions will be essential to business development and the operations support of clients, field staff, and stakeholders.

Your primary responsibility will be maintaining an effective training program within your specified regions, liaising with certification bodies relevant to this industry ensuring ITC compliance with them, managing contracts and contracted training consultants, securing training events locations, managing student data, and inclusion into SAP and CRM. Teaching courses from the ITC course portfolio is also part of your role.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication, negotiation, time management, and organizational abilities. Familiarity with budget management, enterprise business applications, and student record administration is a plus.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintain an effective IRT training program within the specified region.
2. Control demo assets and coordinate service requirements.
3. Manage and grow relationships with vendors and partners.
4. Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
5. Secure venues for training events through partnerships with hotels, training partners, and corporate sites.
6. Execute events within the allocated operational budget.
7. Sales support activities including phone, email, and chat leads as well as proactive outbound calling effort.
8. Ensure record keeping integrity and administration of student certification documents within SAP and CRM.
9. Collaborate with cross-functional departments to perform tasks to completion.
10. Develop comprehensive course curricula and materials for both lectures and practical exercises.
11. Conduct infrared training courses in-person and online.
12. Train and coach customers on application of instrument hardware and software via in-person and online training courses as well as support student inquiries via telephone and e-mail.
13. Provide support to customers in the electrical, mechanical, building science, sUAS, and oil and gas sectors.
14. Plan and oversee marketing activities within the assigned region.
15. Domestic and international travel based on business requirements.

Job Qualifications:

1. Ideal candidates will have experience in business administration and management.
2. Ideal candidates will have apprenticeship served or degree qualified in an engineering or management qualification.
3. Must possess excellent interpersonal, telephone, and organizational communication skills.
4. A technical aptitude and attention to detail.
5. Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and CRM applications (SAP/Oracle).
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
7. Bilingual fluency is highly desired.
8. 2+ years of experience in technical training is a plus.
9. 2+ years of experience in infrared imaging applications and technology is desired.
10. General knowledge of physics is required.

This position requires access to export-controlled information or items (i.e. regulated technology or technical data per ITAR/EAR US regulations). Applicants must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.
