Tihany Design is seeking a Senior / Intermediate Interior Designer to join its team in Rome

Internationally acclaimed luxury hospitality design firm Tihany Design is seeking a talented and motivated designer to join the Rome studio.
Requirements:

1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or architecture
2. Minimum three to five years of experience in luxury hospitality/residential design
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, MS Office
4. Experience working on multiple projects and able to collaborate with project teams within the studio, skilled at time management
5. Experience working on different phases of the project, from concept design to DD set, including sourcing and documenting FF&E design and/or selection and documentation of interior architectural finishes
6. Strong communication skills including verbal, written, and visual, and ability to present internally to senior designers and principals
7. Positive attitude, flexible, and enthusiastic

Responsibilities:

1. Initiating unique design concepts and narratives for hospitality projects (including restaurant design) and developing full-scale design presentations including mood boards, plans, and elevations
2. Developing custom furniture, fixtures, and lighting design
3. Taking ownership of all design phases of the project, from concept to schematic design, design development, material selection, and specifications
4. Coordinating, preparing, and assuring the quality of design documents, FF&E specifications, and drawings
5. Assisting and collaborating with the Project Team in all phases of the project
6. Managing small-scale projects independently, coordinating and cultivating relationships with other project consultants
7. Meeting deadlines and ensuring the accuracy of all work produced
8. Assisting and collaborating with the project team in conducting construction-phase activities including shop drawing review, requests for information, drawing and document updates, project record-keeping
9. Interacting with various consultants on projects and vendors
10. Developing interior design resources (vendors, professional sources)
11. Presenting and communicating design concepts internally and externally, orally and in writing
12. Mentoring support staff and junior designers
