Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a Technician for our store of Milan Sant'Andrea.

As a Technician at RIMOWA your role is to:

Assessment, Communication and Organisation:
  • Inspect the case with the client
  • Ensure the client has realistic expectations about the quality and time of the repair
  • Inform clients about the warranty rules
  • Identify if the repair can be performed in the store or in the client care department
  • Provide an update for the customer if necessary due to difficulties or delays
  • Control the quality of a suitcase before it's sent back to the customer
  • Use the systems (RMS, consult the spare catalogue, check statistics, specify request for developments, use V3, queries)
  • Keep workshop clean and organized
  • Keep spare parts organized and quantities at the right level
Repairs in the Store:
  • Use the correct parts and tools for any repair
  • Perform main repairs according to Rimowa processes and standards
  • Creativity regarding very old suitcases (rare repairs or without original spare part available)
  • Maintenance and repairs of machines if possible
Coordinate Repairs with the Client Care Department:
  • Communicate with the client care department
  • Inform the customer about the lead time
If no repair in the store - Help the Client Advisor team in selling.

Profile

We love what we do at RIMOWA and are eager to hear from you if:

  • You are interested in high quality products with tradition and curious to work on our RIMOWA products, combining luxury with our technical heritage.
  • You are experienced in a manufacturing/technical environment with hands-on experience using small hand tools or experienced in a similar role.
  • You are talented in craftsmanship.
  • You have a High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • You have a Mechanical background using hand and power tools (preferred)
  • You have already worked within repairs related field/industry product (luggage)

Your skills:

  • Attention to detail and quality would be a high personality trait standard.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, structured and a team player.
  • Proactive in how you approach clientele, build long-term relationships and approach each situation with a collaborative spirit.
  • Enthusiastic about retail/client care services and delivering memorable experiences for our clientele.
  • Be a team player, first and foremost, who is eager to learn about our products, our brand and history. A team player at RIMOWA is diplomatic, embodies our values, collaborates with their colleagues and is always there to lift the team spirit.
  • Fluent in English & Italian. Additional languages are a plus.
