Due to our steady growth, we are looking for a System Administrator who will be responsible for several activities within our IT internal function. The role will be based in Pisa with the possibility to blend smartworking with work in presence.

Responsibilities
Design, implement and support documentation for networking and virtual computing infrastructures according to project requirements.
Build, deploy, and manage all our open-source server management Platform for enterprise virtualization in accordance with standards and operational requirements.
Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions using AWS services.
Work closely with the Product Software Development, Technical Office, and R&D teams to design and deploy systems in line with the specific project requirements and IT strategy.
Follow Change Management processes and be responsible for common Infrastructure changes (Networking, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.), including the planning and implementation of updates.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure appropriate monitoring controls are in place, identify requirements & issues, and propose proactive solutions.
Oversee and design monitoring systems, including Zabbix and InfluxDB, to get insights and proactively resolve problems before service disruption.
Investigate and troubleshoot system and software configuration and related performance issues.
Automate the provisioning and maintenance of internal IT personal assets.
Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
Develop, execute, and troubleshoot Bash scripts and CI/CD DevOps pipeline.
Perform complete life cycle management of compute hardware, including deployment, configuration, refresh, and decommissioning.
Provide engineering support for compute infrastructure; this will include monitoring and troubleshooting compute-related problems.
Extensively partner with business groups and vendors to consult on technical solutions which move the business forward.
Experience in managing Linux operating systems.
Practical experience with setup, configuration, operation, and management of virtualized infrastructures, including VMs and hypervisor technologies (Proxmox, OpenStack, etc.), as well as container systems (i.e. Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
Good experience with at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash, etc.).
Good experience with network and services configuration (i.e., VLAN, DNS, routing, firewall, etc.) and in-depth knowledge of networking principles.
Good knowledge of PC and Dell server hardware (e.g., Idrac, etc.).
Root Analysis Methodology and Problem Solving Approach.
Ability to move independently in the implementation of installation packages/scripts.
Optional Requirements
Experience with at least one major PaaS provider (AWS, GCP, MS Azure).
Possess expertise in AWS cloud services such as EC2, Lambda, ECS, RDS.
Familiar with SCM tools and DevOps platforms (Git, GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, etc.).
