Job Summary:
We are seeking highly experienced Demand and Supply Planning Managers with a strong combination of operational execution skills and strategic vision to drive our Supply Chain Parts operations. This role reports directly to the Head of Demand, Supply & Inventory for the European spare parts division.
The ideal candidate will not only lead Planning teams but also take ownership of cross-functional processes, identifying opportunities for innovation and operational breakthroughs. They will be responsible for overseeing inventory requirements, managing supply chain activities, and implementing strategies to enhance service levels, productivity, inventory optimization, and cost efficiency.
As a key member of our team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a seamless supply chain planning process, directly contributing to the company’s success and customer satisfaction. This is a highly dynamic role with strong growth potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a team of planners and expeditors (internal or outsourced) to ensure material supply from external and/or internal suppliers meets customer demand and targeted stock levels.
- Maintain a proactive relationship with suppliers on supply chain topics, escalating critical issues when necessary, including joint demand planning, analyzing past forecast accuracy and bias; aligning on 12-18 month demand and supply plans; identifying capacity constraints and supply risks.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships, supporting negotiations and meetings to ensure demand is met while avoiding excess stock.
- Implement and enhance supply chain processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives with suppliers.
- Ensure optimal inventory levels by analyzing demand, forecasting stock requirements, and coordinating with suppliers and manufacturers to secure on-time delivery.
- Develop and refine supply chain models based on market trends and industry conditions to improve efficiency.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives, streamline processes, and enhance overall supply chain performance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, adjusting production schedules as needed.
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory and safety standards within the supply chain.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to address challenges and develop strategic solutions.
- Provide regular reports and updates to VP and SVP members on supply chain performance and key initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in supply planning management within the manufacturing or retail industries (e.g., FMCG, industrial products retail, automotive).
- Proven experience in managing and leading teams in a similar environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive strategic decision-making.
- Fluent in English, with a good command of an additional European language (ideally Italian or French).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, fostering cross-functional collaboration and sustainable business relationships.
- Customer-centric mindset, demonstrating ownership, accountability, and a results-driven approach.
- Ability to manage conflicts, work transversally, and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Resilient and adaptable, capable of performing under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership skills to manage teams, drive engagement, and support continuous improvement.
- Strategic vision with a structured yet agile approach to supply chain management.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools, ensuring operational efficiency.
