WSP is the world's leading engineering company, specialising in infrastructure, transport, environment, energy and buildings.
We have a clear vision of how it wants to help make the world a better place, by giving back to communities and supporting what's really important for our future.
WSP Italy is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the planning, design, analysis, and verification of new structures (reinforced concrete and steel) and foundations for projects in environmental remediation, renewable energy (solar and wind), water treatment, landfills, and decommissioning of plants and buildings. The role also includes temporary works design and static verification of existing structures.
This position focuses on ensuring structures are safe, stable, and sustainable by applying scientific knowledge and technical standards. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, the role addresses project feasibility, workplace safety, sustainability, environmental protection, and waste management to support the company’s goals.
As a Structural Engineer, you will design and size new structures and foundations, perform static verifications, and prepare reports, drawings, and cost estimates. Using advanced software, you will evaluate structural capacity, define execution timelines, and ensure compliance with regulations. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be key to delivering integrated and sustainable solutions.
You will also oversee investigations, analyse data, and support activities such as structural verification for new and existing structures. Additionally, you’ll prepare technical documentation and stay updated on regulations and industry trends to ensure innovative, efficient designs.
WHAT IF IT WAS YOU?
The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, strong problem-solving skills in analysing reinforced concrete and steel structures, and knowledge of engineering principles, construction techniques, and regulations. Attention to detail, adaptability, and collaboration in multidisciplinary teams are essential.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, REVIT, SAP 2000) and tools like Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project is required. Strong communication skills and a passion for exploring new technologies, optimizing resources, and ensuring safety and efficiency are key. Fluency in English is a must.
