Staff Product Designer

Senior sole designer needed for Edtech company

The client

I am seeking a Staff Product Designer for an ed-tech company. Their product is a platform built to drive personal growth and achievement through innovative tools and a user-centric approach. It offers a highly adaptable environment designed to support a wide range of goals, all while maintaining flexibility and ease of use. The role

This role is to join as the solo designer in a small start-up of around 20. We are looking for an experienced leader – someone who has previously worked in a small start-up and is comfortable owning design in an ambiguous space, driving results. You will work end-to-end but with a focus on UX. You will have the opportunity to set the foundations, design system, preferred tools, and define the processes and ways of working for this function. Working closely with growth, marketing, and product teams, you will focus on optimizing key user journeys, improving onboarding experiences, and running experiments that help users continue to unlock value.

The candidate

Please only apply if you meet the below criteria…

• At least 3 years in a full-time principle or lead equivalent role as a digital product-designer
• Previous experience working as the sole designer in a small company (less than 40)
• End to end designer with case-studies showing previous work examples
• Experience presenting work to cross-functional contributors confidently
• Full right to work in the UK without sponsorship

Salary: Up to £80k (+ benefits such as development budget, enhanced parental leave etc)

WFH Policy: Remote-first working with 1 day in Yorkshire bi-monthly
