For our solar site based in Catania, we are looking for a highly motivated PLC Software Engineer. The ideal candidate will be a young engineer passionate about new technologies, holding a degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar, ready to contribute to the service and maintenance of control and software of the biggest European solar production site.

In particular, the candidate will develop on the following technologies:

• PLC Software programming
• HMI Software programming
• SCADA programming
• PLC, HMI and Inverter software installation

Requirements Background experience

• Degree in Automation, Mechatronics, Electronics or related field
• Previous service and troubleshooting experience on automation and machinery is welcome
• Very good spoken and written English. Knowledge of a second foreign language is considered a plus
• Knowledge of programming PLC/HMI (preferably on Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider or Codesys)
• Knowledge of SCADA programming (preferably on Intellution iFix, Wonderware Aveva, Movicom, Siemens WinCC, Ignition)
• Knowledge of real-time programming is appreciated
• Optimization techniques, big-data treatment and machine learning represent a plus
• Robotics knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of a couple of the following programming languages is a plus: for example Java, Python, C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, relational databases (MySQL, SQL Server)
• The experience of developing real-time automatic controls is welcome
• Good communication skills, aptitude for teamwork and a high dose of personal initiative
