Site HSE Manager

Aventa’s Engineering team is actively working in the Marine Renewable Energy sector, providing Engineering and Consultancy services on major international projects and subsea solutions, from concept design to project execution. Our Clients are key players from the European and Worldwide Energy sector: wind farm developers, floating installation companies, subsea cable suppliers, transmission system operators, etc.

For one of our clients, we are actively looking for a Site HSE Manager for an Italian offshore interconnector underwater cable project.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure that all HSE activities at project level are carried on in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, client requirements, and company Environmental and Safety Standards, including suppliers/subcontractors.
2. Coordinate HSE compliance with company policy procedures and collaborate with the site team to implement HSE culture and methodologies.
3. Assist Projects team in dealing with subcontractors on all HSE-related issues.
4. Ensure vessel operations comply with ISM Code rules, SOLAS, and MARPOL.
5. Assist in the Risk Management process (i.e., HAZID) and Permit To Work system.
6. Facilitate accident/incident investigations and analyze accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans at Project and company level.
7. Conduct HSE audits, and organize inspections and walkthroughs related to ISO 45001 and 14001 standards as well as local legal compliance.
8. Develop and perform HSE training programs and promote a safety behavioral culture within the organization and toward suppliers and subcontractors.
9. Ensure the development, planning, implementation, updating, review, and auditing of the Company HSE Management System, in accordance with headquarter guidelines.
10. Lead the planning, collection, management, and analysis of HSE indicators.
11. Ensure proper waste management, including segregation, collection, and reporting.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 5 years of HSE Management experience, within EPCI work environment, including Onshore and Offshore Construction and Installation activities and vessel operation.
2. Previous experience in Horizontal Direct Drilling (Preferred).
3. Self-dependent work behavior and flexibility are essential.
4. Fluent in English.
5. Knowledge of ISO 45001 and 14001.
6. Proven knowledge of Italian HSE regulation for civil/excavation works and with the International Maritime Organization ISM Code, SOLAS, and MARPOL.
7. Experience in dealing with subcontractors.
8. Proficiency in MS Office applications.
9. Effective communication skills.

75% on-site activities - 25% remote (from home)
