The Human Technopole Foundation (HT) is an interdisciplinary research institute, created and supported by the Italian government, whose aim is to develop innovative strategies to promote human health and healthy aging through a multidisciplinary and integrated approach, combining genomics, computational biology, structural biology, neuroscience and health data science. HT scientists work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment to help promote life science research nationally and internationally. In line with its mission to serve the research community at large, HT operates National Facilities, specifically aimed at making HT’s technologies, methods and tools available to the national scientific community.
The Human Technopole Foundation is looking for a Service Desk Engineer.
Under the supervision of the Service Desk Coordinator, the successful candidate will provide assistance about user’s daily issues with their company assets (Laptop, Mobile Phone, …) and promptly understand and fix possible issues via tickets.
The successful candidate will interact with colleagues from Administration and Research, understand the needs and will support the users with all the necessary activities to make the user experience run smoothly.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Desk Support and Troubleshooting: provide technical support for various operating systems (MacOS, Windows, Linux, mobile), assisting users with company assets, diagnosing and resolving issues via ticketing systems, performing initial incident assessments, and implementing solutions remotely or on-site.
- Hardware & Software Management: install, configure, modify, and repair hardware, software, and peripherals for end-users.
- IT Helpdesk Services: provide a knowledgeable and reliable IT helpdesk service, managing and documenting support requests via ticketing and monitoring systems to ensure high service quality and user satisfaction.
- Documentation and knowledge sharing: develop and maintain up-to-date user guides, tutorials, and IT product information.
- Asset and license management: oversee IT asset management, license tracking, and software catalog definition for the research center.
Mandatory requirements:
- High School/Degree Diploma in Information Technology or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an IT support, helpdesk, or desktop support role in an enterprise environment.
- Good knowledge of Windows, MacOS and Linux operating systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Administration Portal.
- Experience with MDM System (Jamf, Intune).
- Fluency in English.
Preferred requirements:
- Familiarity with command-line tools (Terminal, PowerShell, CMD).
- Supporting MacOS, Windows, Linux and mobile operating systems.
- Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Utilizing ticketing systems and asset management tools.
- Basic knowledge of Network Troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of Antivirus System.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation, or equivalent.

Salary indication: up to 41k depending on candidate’s seniority.
