Position Overview:
The SVP of Marketing will lead the marketing function, driving strategic initiatives and operational execution. This role requires a hands-on leader who can join a team of practitioners at the leadership level, bringing a wealth of experience from a senior marketing execution role. The ideal candidate will be adept at website and content creation, enterprise-targeted account-based marketing, and lead generation. They will also be skilled in event leadership and driving leads, accustomed to working with a small budget, and capable of building an internal team without relying on agencies and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Strategy:
- Lead the marketing function, developing and executing the overall marketing strategy.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to align marketing initiatives with business objectives.
- Provide strategic direction for all marketing activities, ensuring alignment with company goals.
2. Operational and Hands-On Execution:
- Be actively involved in the day-to-day marketing operations.
- Develop and manage the company’s website, ensuring it is optimized for lead generation and user experience.
- Create and manage high-quality content that drives engagement and supports lead generation efforts.
3. Account-Based Marketing (ABM):
- Develop and execute targeted ABM campaigns to drive enterprise-level lead generation.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify key accounts and tailor marketing efforts to their specific needs.
4. Event Leadership and Lead Generation:
- Plan and execute events that enhance the company’s brand and generate leads.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, driving engagement and lead generation.
5. Creative Budget Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Implement creative and cost-effective marketing strategies to maximize impact with a small budget.
6. Team Building and Management:
- Build and lead an internal marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Mentor and develop team members, ensuring they have the skills and resources needed to succeed.
- Avoid reliance on external agencies and consultants, focusing on internal capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, with at least 1 years in a senior marketing execution role.
- Proven track record of leading and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Hands-on experience with website management and content creation.
- Strong expertise in enterprise-targeted account-based marketing and lead generation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead events and drive leads through creative and effective strategies.
- Experience managing marketing budgets and delivering results with limited resources.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Italian is a plus.
