Senior System Tehnician

Project Description

The main mission of the Engineering Technician is to deal with different aspects of testing related to ultrasonic systems. Responsibilities include executing test scenarios, collecting data, calibrating the system to customer specifications, performing necessary retrofits, and creating and troubleshooting test setups. Additionally, the technician will be responsible for maintaining a functional lab area in accordance with Tier1's guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for the deliverables:
• Assist in scheduling and organizing testing.
• Assist in tuning and calibrating the P4U System.
• Collect, record, compile, and analyze test data.
• Use Vector CAN Tools to complete tests.
• Travel and work directly with OEM.
• Run tests and solve any issues that may occur during testing.
• Provide training as needed.
• Build/Repair wire harnesses as needed.
• Build/Repair test loads as needed.
• Build test/engineering setups (benches).
• Perform mechanical and electrical testing on automotive products as directed and following established specifications.
• Communicate between Tier1 and OEM engineers.

General Duties

• Communicate with different teams involved in testing and reporting.
• Maintain the planning of tasks and deliveries.
• Select the most appropriate suppliers for the different tasks.
• Apply 5S.

Skills

Must Have:

• 3-5 years of experience in automotive testing, data collection, wiring, and test setups.
• Experience in vehicle testing.
• Proficiency with Vector CAN tools.
• Experience in automotive system testing projects.
• Driver's license.
• Technical Bachelor's Degree.
• Hands-on experience with hardware, including building/repairing harnesses, test loads, and soldering.

Nice to Have:

• Experience performing mechanical and electrical testing on automotive products as directed and following established specifications.
• Good communication skills.
