About the Role:

Kariera Group recruitment services are actively seeking a seasoned Senior Structural Engineer to join our client in Milan, Italy on a 30-month contract. Please note the candidate will be required to work on a self-employed/freelance basis.

Responsibilities:

• Review / Lead the design and analysis of structural systems, and specifications.
• Utilize engineering software for structural modeling and simulations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• Review and approve design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
• Ensure that all engineering work meets quality standards and adheres to project requirements.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, proposing innovative solutions.
• Ensure adherence to local, national, and international regulations.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including civil, mechanical, and electrical engineers, to integrate structural designs with other engineering disciplines.

Requirements:

• BSC Degree in oil and gas or equivalent degree.
• Exposure to EIPC or oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in Italian and English languages.
• Computer skills: Engineering Design Software/ Structural Analysis Software (AUTCAD, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structures).
• Organization skills: Time Management, Task management, Planning, Attention to Detail, Problem-Solving, Communication.
• PMP or similar, Certified American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), Safety Certifications, Structural Engineering (SE) License.
