STRUCTURE DESIGN ENGINEER

Position purpose

The Structure Specialist will be responsible for the supervision of yacht’s structural design development (hull and superstructure blocks/main outfitting) both through the design and build stages.

Main Responsabilities:

• the supervision of the structural design compliancy with Rules (Classification Society/Flag Bodies)
• the supervision of the design subcontractor performance in terms of quality, performance, adherence to the program and consistency with the Yard Standards
• supervision of the Yacht structures onboard during the building phase

Internal Relations

All technical Areas of the Engineering Department, Purchasing Department, Production Department.

External Relations

Class and Flag surveyors, suppliers, consultants.

Requirements

• Masters and/or Degree in Naval Architecture
• Previous professional experience in Naval Platform design and building would be a strong plus
• Experience in Design for manufacturing and assembly
• Product value analysis techniques knowledge
• Naval & Nautical design knowledge
• Expertise of product Innovation
• IT Tools advanced knowledge (excel, design and visualization software such as 3D CAD…)and familiarity with Microstation
• Good level of English both spoken and written
