Senior Software Developer

Senior Software Developer is part of the ECLIPSE Product Development team and is involved in all phases of the Development Process. Overall, as a Senior Software Developer, you play a crucial role in overseeing the development of software projects, leading a team to success, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the organization. The responsibilities also extend to analysis/assessments of operational problems, investigation of new technology and tools, supporting other developers, and contributing to the overall direction of the ECLIPSE suite of products - the essential software to work effectively in the space sector.

Main Responsibilities

As Senior Software Developer you will be responsible for:

1. Providing technical expertise and helping to drive innovation within the team.
2. Design, development, and testing of ECLIPSE web-based application.
3. Full stack: involvement in all architecture layers (Web development, Java programming, Databases).
4. Participate in the ECLIPSE Sprint Demo, planning and stand-ups meetings.
5. Perform peer code and design reviews.
6. Produce technical documentation.
7. Strong analytical and object-orientated design capabilities.
8. Proactively striving to extend his/her own skills and capabilities in line with the agreed career goals.
9. Effective English written and oral communication skills.
10. Able to work as part of a team and foster good team cooperation.

Profile:

1. Several years of experience in software development.
2. Experience in Web Application Development with JEE and Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSON, JSP, Servlet.
3. Experience with web development Framework such as Spring, Hibernate, Struts and Lucene.
4. Experience with front-end frameworks such as JQuery and Angular.
5. Experience with Relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL).
6. Experience with Git, SVN or other version control system.
7. Strong analytical and object-orientated design capabilities.
8. Effective English written and oral communication skills.
9. Proven track record of successfully delivering software projects on time and within budget.
10. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Knowledge of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and quality assurance processes.

Nice to Have:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Java (or others) certifications are an advantage.
3. Experience with Document-Orientated databases (MongoDB) is an advantage.
