Eurowind Energy is a Danish limited liability company, which over the years has become a leading developer and operator of photovoltaic and wind turbine projects. We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to deliver our project initiatives in the Italian market. This job offers you the possibility of being the go-to-person for all matters related to projects assigned to you, mainly at the development stage, while working in a fast growth “startup environment” backed by a large international group.
Primary Responsibilities:
Based in Milan, the Senior Project Manager will report to the Country Manager and focus on the development of renewable energy projects (PV, Wind, BESS, H2, P2X) in Italy.
Main duties and responsibilities include:
- Identifying, assessing, and facilitating new project development opportunities for wind, solar, BESS, and P2X;
- Performing feasibility and risk assessment studies on projects;
- Managing project delivery from concept, throughout the permitting phase, all the way to RTB and handover to construction; taking ownership of assigned projects, ensuring that the pillars of “land, grid, and permit” are managed proactively, efficiently, and effectively within the constraints of scope, budget, and schedule;
- Managing the budget and resources allocated to the assigned projects, with a proactive approach particularly towards schedule and risk;
- Coordinating external project developers or professionals, assuring compliance with the signed agreements and deliverables;
- Sourcing and proposing project acquisition opportunities, including participation in potential M&A transactions;
- Handing over to and supporting the Construction Dept. for assigned projects’ construction phase;
- Supporting the development of the existing projects’ portfolio;
- Supporting training and development of staff/colleagues, with particular regard to permitting of renewable energy plants;
- Promoting growth, profitability, and sustainability of Eurowind Energy in Italy;
- Other tasks related to the above.
The Mandatory Profile:
- Has at least seven years of experience working with the development of renewable energy projects (mainly wind and/or solar);
- Is fluent in Italian and English, with strong communication skills in both languages;
- Has verifiable experience in “greenfield” project development in Italy, spanning from land scouting to RTB phase, including knowing and complying with national, regional, and local regulation, managing the grid connection request/acceptance process, negotiating/managing land contracts, etc.;
- Has outstanding project management skills;
- Has strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
- Has the ability to work on several projects in different regions at the same time;
- Is prepared to travel often, mainly in Italy.
Furthermore, you could have experience/skills in:
- Managing the construction of utility scale wind or PV plants until commissioning phase;
- Battery Storage, Hydrogen, and/or P2X projects;
- Written and oral communication in other languages.
