Job Description

Our client in the industrial solutions sector is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer near Sugar Hill, GA – a high-impact role perfect for those who excel in technical leadership, project management and hands-on design. In this role, you will apply structured project management principles to oversee and optimize product development workflows. Approximately 70% of your time will be dedicated to managing project timelines, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration. Your ability to drive efficiency and maintain an organized, process-oriented approach will be essential in delivering innovative solutions. The remaining 30% of your role will focus on guiding the engineering team on component design, allowing you to apply your creativity and technical expertise directly. Responsibilities

1. Manage multiple product development projects from concept to launch
2. Assist in guiding the engineering team through the design process and approval workflow
3. Ensure compliance with quality control and ISO9001 requirements
4. Oversee RFQ processes and collaborate with sales and vendors
5. Facilitate design reviews with customers and vendors to align on goals
6. Assign tasks and track project milestones to meet corporate objectives
7. Work with manufacturing and QC teams to ensure product feasibility and success
8. Support engineering efforts with technical guidance and design input

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree required
2. 5+ years of managing projects in the product development life cycle required
3. 4+ years of mechanical/industrial component/product design experience required
4. Proven ability to manage complex projects with tight deadlines required
5. Knowledge of quality management systems and regulatory compliance required
6. Proficiency with 3D design software (SolidWorks or similar) required
