EY is currently looking for exceptional candidates to lead its Security Risk Management division as part of its Forensics Service Line as a Senior Manager.
The successful candidate will join the organisation with the role of “Senior Manager”, and will be required to work on-site at EY’s offices in Via Lombardia 31, Rome.

Through our method of analysis, the long experience gained in Country Threat Assessment, the EY global network and the methodology of collecting information from reliable sources we can offer useful products for an objective and truthful assessment of the threats that can affect the countries considered.
We do have a Security Operations Centre (SOC) which is at the centre of EY’s Security Risk Management services and, operating on a 24/7 basis, is staffed by a specialist team of security and intelligence professionals with significant experience in the delivery of travel risk and crisis management services. Our SOC is the first point of contact for our clients, which include companies performing frequent business travels, as well as operating in non-permissive, high-risk environments.
The Role
As a Senior Manager, the successful candidate will be the focal point of the Security Risk Management’s activities of the Forensics Service line. This is also a cross-functional role, where the Senior Manager will be required to closely cooperate with other colleagues in the Forensics Service Line supporting in security consulting, journey management, investigative and dispute activities.
Reporting
The Senior Manager will report directly to Service Line Partner.
Job Description
The main requirements of the Senior Manager include, but are not limited to:
- Defining control system and organization of Security Programmes for clients in coordination with Solution Accountant.
- Being the primary point of contact with clients for providing support, assistance and general security advice.
- Lead and provide management and planning of Security Risk Management activities for clients.
- Oversee the implementation of Security Risk Management process across clients.
- Manage the most appropriate physical security solutions according to peculiar threats.
- Monitoring and developing activities of a Security Operations Centre (SOC).
- Manage emergency situations during corporate travel, such as security incidents or crisis situations.
- Coordinating timely Security risk analysis, mitigation and reporting, development and dissemination of best practices in Security Risk management.
- Carrying out physical security risk assessment for clients.
- Identify International Security Providers and manage organization and coordination for travel and security support services for clients, ensuring quality and consistency in responses provided and emergency support.
- Ability to be flexible and work, at times, in a fast-paced environment, where a quick turnaround time on information requests is required.
- Management as the first person in charge of projects assigned by solution managers, working to ensure client satisfaction, adherence to deadlines shared with the client as well as adherence to all quality and administrative requirements of procedures.
- Relationship management with assigned customers and targets to identify and develop business opportunities.
- Coordination and development of learning programmes for security team personnel along with learning and partner solution.
Skills and Requirements
The person applying to this position should have the following skills or traits, which may include, but are not limited to:
- University Degree (postgraduate required) and studies in a relevant field, such as: international security, intelligence, international relations, political science, diplomacy.
- Demonstrated experience (at least 6 years) in complex companies and/or consulting firms on Security Risk Management.
- Relevant expertise and knowledge of security and political issues in the following regions: MENA, APAC, Europe CIS, Sub-Saharan Africa, Americas.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with full professional proficiency in both English and Italian.
- Demonstrated interest in the field of geopolitics, security risk management, and intelligence.
- Excellent analytical and research skills, both qualitative and quantitative.
- Being a team player and having a proactive approach.
Preferential Requirements
- Security professional under UNI 10459:2017.
- Experience living and working abroad, as well as interacting with people from a different cultural background.
- Background in military or law enforcement.
- Working knowledge in a foreign language other than English (Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic, Russian, among others).
