Job Description:

We're looking for a senior field service engineer for the centre region of Italy to help us boost the company to the next level. We want you to be tenacious and results-oriented. You’re hard-working, motivated to make a big impact, and you persevere until the job is done. You have initiative and a growth mindset, often coming up with ingenious ways to reach your goals. In addition, you’re constantly analyzing the market to implement new ideas and opportunities. As an expert professional in your area, you ensure assistance aimed at customer satisfaction for all Sysmex products/solutions in the assigned geographic area as a member of the regional technical service team.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure uptime of instrument installed base in its assigned geographic area
  2. Build professional relationships with end-users and laboratory stakeholders
  3. Perform troubleshooting both in person and remotely
  4. Execute reactive and proactive service activities at customer’s site and/or remotely
  5. Act as expert and second level support in the field for the assigned business line
  6. Support development of colleagues in the field (training on the job)
  7. Act as preferred point of contact for 3rd level support from EMEA support team
  8. Perform pre-installation visits and planning meetings with customers
  9. Carry out pre-installation at Sysmex workshop and installations at customer site
  10. Provide basic technical and maintenance training to end-users
  11. Carry out repair actions and maintenance visits as per Sysmex procedures
  12. Plan proactive activities and regular visits to key customers
  13. Report field activities and instrument status
  14. Keep lab directors informed about service deliverables and instrument status
  15. Organize regular meetings with key end-users to highlight the value of service
  16. Ensure all customer-related records are up-to-date
  17. Accurately record service activities on Sysmex CRM
  18. Ensure customer satisfaction on all post-sales phases
  19. Collaborate with commercial functions on new tenders and business opportunities to design tailored solutions to specific customer needs

Job Requirements:

  1. University degree or equivalent in engineering
  2. Advanced certificate in electronics and/or equivalent industry experience
  3. Technical knowledge of electronic equipment (preferably IVD)
  4. Knowledge as a user of PC tools and software applications
  5. Languages: fluent in English and Italian
  6. More than 10 years of experience as FSE in the medical device industry
  7. Leadership experience
  8. Self-motivated with the ability to work under stressful situations
  9. Able to communicate effectively with end-users
  10. Previous experience with hematology, urinalysis, and hemostasis instruments is a plus
