Senior Construction Planner

PE Global Recruitment is delighted to be recruiting a Senior Planner on behalf of a leading global construction consultancy. This is a permanent role based in Rome, supporting a high-profile pharmaceutical sector project, and includes a relocation package for successful applicants.

In This Role, You Will:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules covering full project scope, key milestones, and delivery timelines using critical path methodology.
• Implement and manage a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to clearly define ownership and responsibility for all project activities.
• Ensure schedules align with the overall project execution strategy, including procurement, contracting, and control plans.
• Baseline schedules and manage periodic updates to ensure accurate performance tracking and reporting.
• Structure and manage a fully integrated master project schedule with the ability to drill down to different levels of detail for project reviews.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate timelines, resolve scheduling conflicts, and manage interdependencies.
• Provide regular schedule updates to project teams and stakeholders.
• Review contractor and third-party schedules to ensure alignment with best practice planning principles.

What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience in planning and scheduling roles within construction or engineering, ideally in life sciences or pharmaceutical environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 and experience using it to build and manage project schedules.
• Hands-on experience with Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) and the ability to interpret and communicate results effectively.
• Degree-qualified or possess equivalent experience in project management, construction, or engineering.
• Highly detail-oriented with a quality-focused mindset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
• Able to manage your own workload and deadlines in a dynamic setting.
