What we look for?

We are looking for an API Designer, working close to one of our main clients, a world leader in its sector, 100% remote.

We are seeking an API Designer to join our team and contribute to the creation and optimization of APIs. In this role, you will design APIs that strike the perfect balance between developer experience, product thinking, and technical requirements, ensuring each API is intuitive and efficient. You will assess architectural needs, selecting between REST, gRPC, AsyncAPI, and other protocols to best fit the requirements of each project. You will provide advisory services and consulting to teams from different areas of the company, improving API design and ensuring adherence to our guidelines. You will also propose tools and processes to enhance the API Design workflow and mentor other API Designers and Developers across Engineering and Product teams. Your work will help shape the future of our APIs and ensure scalability, usability, and performance.

Work Location: 100% remote, only Spain

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:

• Collaborate on the design of APIs across different product lines, interfacing with multiple product and business stakeholders.
• Assess architectural needs, selecting between REST, gRPC, AsyncAPI, and other protocols to best fit the requirements of each project.
• Provide advisory services and consulting to multiple teams, improving API design and ensuring adherence to our guidelines.
• Propose tools and processes to enhance the API Design workflow. Mentor other API Designers and Developers across Engineering and Product teams.

What do we expect from you?

Minimum Requirements:

• 5+ Years of experience in this role
• Good oral and written skills in English.
