SELinux Engineer

Description

1. Collaborate with architects and fellow software engineers to identify the best solutions for security challenges.
2. Pay special attention to the Quality & Security in all stages of development, which also includes Unit Testing, Validation and Automation of the deliverables.
3. Ensure a high degree of security as well as reliability, availability, performance, and scalability of the product.
4. Experience in implementing solutions to real security problems. Experience with system architecture, design, testing and implementation.
5. Ability to identify security vulnerabilities in the system components or network devices and provide innovative solutions.
6. Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
7. Experience working with Secure Linux-based servers, troubleshooting Linux boot issues, and providing fixes as required.
8. Produce reports and documents in support of system requirements and security certifications and write/contribute to white papers.
9. Intimately familiar with Linux OS security processes, issues, and challenges.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in Linux system administration, specifically with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
3. Strong knowledge of system security measures, experience with SELinux, and firewall configurations.
4. Implement SELinux policies to enhance system security.
5. Experience with SELinux implementation and policy management.
6. Experience evaluating system security based on standard controls (e.g., SELinux).
7. Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, KVM) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
8. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex system issues effectively.
9. Strong communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with remote teams.
10. Certifications in RHEL (RHCE, RHCSA), Red Hat Certified Specialist in Security: Linux or similar.
11. Training in SELinux.
12. RHEL: 8 years (Required).
13. SELinux: 3 years (Required).
14. Virtualization: 3 years (Required).
15. Containerization: 3 years (Required).
