Security Solutions Architect

Role purpose

The Security Solutions Architect is a seasoned professional who is responsible for specifying and designing solutions based on her/his technical expertise across security technology domains. She/he will provide in-depth cyber security architecture and design for Vodafone Business’ customers. She/he will support customers in defining strategies to improve their level of maturity in cyber security, adapting to existing and emerging regulations, and identifying, assessing, and preventing cyber risks. The individual in this position takes responsibility for the successful overall security solution for Vodafone Business customers, building custom elements to meet a client’s business requirements.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

1. Provide direct support and consulting to Vodafone Business Solutions team in RFPs/answers for a call for tender.
2. Design security architectures.
3. Design technological solutions and validate solution design and security requirements within project initiatives following a security by design approach.
4. Scout technological security solutions.
5. Define and validate security requirements.
6. Carry out security assessments and define security strategies and evolutionary roadmaps in line with the main industry standards to support business customers.
7. Manage the relationship with the partners necessary for the development of the project and the proposal.

Core competencies, knowledge, and experience

1. Security standards, best practices, and methodologies.
2. Cybersecurity and ICT security regulations, legislations, and regulatory context.
3. Good knowledge of the main security infrastructures, cyber security governance issues, data protection, and cyber & information security standards.
4. Excellent knowledge of cyber security architectures such as NAC, Firewall, IPS/IDS, WAF, EDR, IAM, PAM, SIEM, etc.
5. Excellent knowledge of cloud architectures, network, and IT services and technologies.
6. Experience in dealing with large corporate customers in a solution design or consultancy role.

Must have technical/professional qualifications

1. A Bachelor's or Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
2. Advanced security certifications may be advantageous (ISO27001, ISO22301, CISM, CISA, CISSP, CEH, OPST ICS410, ICS/SCADA Security, ICS515: ICS Active Defence and Incident Response, ISA62443).
3. 5 or more years of experience in Information Security and IT Risk Management in leading companies and/or in leading consulting companies.

The profile is completed by excellent communication skills, precision, organizational autonomy, and a marked orientation towards achieving results.
