Amazon’s vendor recruitment team is looking for a talented Senior Vendor Manager within the Amazon Fashion Retail business. Our vision is to drive scaled growth for our Retail business in Europe (EU) through cultivating vendor partnerships and onboarding the brands most desired by EU customers. In this role, you will be responsible for onboarding and scaling the most customer-relevant fashion brands across the EU for the first 12-18 months on Amazon Retail.

Key job responsibilities

Your objectives will be to help build the best possible selection for our customers with the development of partnerships with new fashion vendors. Your job will consist of prospecting, assessing, reaching out to, and launching new EU Fashion vendors on Amazon. In your day-to-day job, you will be faced with numerous challenges such as:

  1. Prospecting and reaching out to new vendors, analyzing their potential for Amazon. You will lead first steps by cold-calling potential partners or attending commercial events and trade fairs, confidently explaining the advantages and benefits of partnering with Amazon.
  2. Being a business consultant to new vendors and providing insights and advice for them, being able to deal with different business profiles. Helping new vendors to integrate their catalogue data into the Amazon platform, mastering Amazon’s internal tools, and training vendors on how to use these tools.
  3. Being the point of contact for vendors: you will help the entire recruitment cycle of new vendors from your pipeline, ramping up to be able to work autonomously.
  4. Negotiating annual terms with a vendor to ensure the vendor is set up for long-term sustainable growth on Amazon.
  5. Planning, conducting, delivering, and reporting analyses to understand the performance of new vendors.
  6. Helping to develop and improve recruiting and onboarding processes, assisting in removing any technical blockers, identifying technical improvement areas, and renegotiating terms in case the profitability of the vendor deteriorates.
  7. Operating in a fast-moving and often ambiguous environment; you will own a project in MVR, work autonomously with cross-functional stakeholders, think both strategically and tactically, and take full control and responsibility for achieving your goals.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of retailer business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated track record of success in meeting and exceeding business and/or financial KPI
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional internal and external audiences
  • Ability to work with a wide range of people at all decision-making levels, including C-suite
  • Experience with large data sets and insight generation using Excel, SQL, or other data analysis tools
  • Experience using CRM tools such as Salesforce to track sales cycle activities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of EU languages would be an added advantage
  • SQL skills would be an added advantage
