Base Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 with Uncapped Commissions

Description

Our client in the Design Services industry is seeking a Director of Sales to join their award-winning team. This position is fully remote, outside of limited travel to industry events throughout the year. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and have a strong background in design, engineering, and R&D, coupled with excellent communication skills to drive business growth and build lasting relationships. This role involves close collaboration with the Business Development Director, as well as internal R&D teams, to develop effective sales strategies and ensure project goals are met. Someone who is a natural storyteller, thrives on teamwork, and enjoys building and nurturing relationships would make the perfect fit. Responsibilities

1. Strategically and actively seek out new business opportunities
2. Work with the Business Development Director to execute sales strategies
3. Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with new and existing clients
4. Set and achieve sales targets based on metrics
5. Collaborate closely with internal R&D teams to meet project goals
6. Stay updated on industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities
7. Utilize CRM software to manage the sales pipeline effectively
8. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions
9. Identify potential opportunities and threats
10. Manage resources for sales and marketing support

Qualifications

1. 2+ years of sales/nurturing experience required
2. 5+ years of Design, Engineering, or R&D experience required
3. Comfort with technical design and engineering principles required
4. Proven success driving business growth in R&D required
5. CRM experience required
