Quality Assurance Manager

Our client, a leading food safety and quality assurance provider, is seeking a QA Manager to join their team. As a QA Manager, you will be part of the Quality Assurance Department supporting the Food Safety and Quality Team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of food safety regulations, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: QA Manager
Location: Okoboji
Pay Range: $45.00/hour

What’s the Job?

• Lead and supervise a team of technicians to implement food safety, quality assurance, labeling, and SQF policies and procedures.
• Oversee internal activities related to food safety, product quality, microbiological performance, and government regulatory compliance (FDA, USDA, CFIA).
• Manage environmental monitoring, recall administration, GMPs, and sanitation procedures.
• Investigate and resolve customer complaints, ensuring timely follow-up and closure.
• Serve as a liaison during plant audits and USDA inspections, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.

What’s Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4-6 years of related supervisory experience in the food industry (or equivalent education/experience).
• HACCP, SQF, and PCQI certifications are preferred.
• 7-10 years of quality assurance or management experience in the foodservice industry (preferred).
• Strong understanding of SQF Code and requirements, with experience managing SQF systems.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
