Project Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join our Plant Engineering Team in the Special & Turn-key Projects Group of the Upstream Business Unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for technology and motivation to work in a multicultural and international environment characterized by high technological complexity.
You will report to the Head of Plant Engineering, with functional reporting to the Project Manager for the projects you are assigned to. The other main interfaces will be the Disciplines Lead Engineers and Engineers, Technical Team of the Tenova Product Lines, Procurement Project Team, Quality and HSE Project Team, Project Control Team as well as Client Technical Team and Suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Overall coordination of the engineering activities of large and complex projects.
- Ensure that engineering activities are executed efficiently, timely and cost-effectively, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements.
- Lead the engineering project team, defining main guidelines, engineering development strategy and defining the main project tasks.
- Act as the technical focal point for the Client and Partners.
- Ensure proper coordination among the Technical Disciplines and the Product Lines.
- Coordinate and supervise the design and engineering activities for the Balance of Plant (i.e., Scope of Supply not covered by Tenova Product Lines).
- Monitor the progress of engineering activities in accordance with the Project schedule and implement any necessary corrective actions.
- Ensure on-time delivery of Material Requisitions.
- Manage project design changes with the Client, Partners, Vendors, and Subcontractors.
- Support the Project Manager in Contract Management activities, such as variation proposals or claims associated with project design changes.
- Support the commissioning team.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master degree in Engineering.
- 10 years of experience in engineering management of complex projects for steel, oil & gas, petrochemical, or power industries.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel.
- Strong leadership, teamwork ability, collaborative approach, multi-cultural mindset, and problem-solving skills.
