Program Director

Ceta Canyon Camp & Retreat Center is a year-round facility serving a multitude of groups. Its unique location is 45 miles southeast of Amarillo, Texas, in a scenic canyon full of trees and wildlife. The ideal candidate for this position must have a strong desire to serve in a Christian Camp Environment.

This position is responsible for the direction, supervision, and training of our challenge course, aquatics, and outdoor education programs. This individual will be involved in the recruitment, hiring, training, supervision, and evaluation of all Seasonal and Summer Activities Staff. Coordination of activity schedules with group leaders, as well as ensuring that all facilities are set up and in safe working condition prior to their arrival, is essential. This position must provide strong supervision to oversee all of the activities while in operation. The program director will be responsible for growing and developing our programs, recruiting and oversight of summer staff, and maintenance assistance. This job requires a well-organized and self-motivated individual who shares a love of servanthood and is of good Christian character, which is foundational to our Christian Camp.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Challenge course level 1 certification with the ability to become a level 2 certified facilitator.
2. Life guard at minimum with the ability to become a lifeguard instructor.
3. CPR / First aid certified or the ability to become certified.

Other Skills/Abilities:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable using camping software.
2. Proven experience in leadership, programming, and Christian Camping.

Housing is available for this full-time salaried non-exempt position. Benefits include health insurance and retirement.
