Production Planning Manager

The Production Planning Manager, reporting to the Planning Manager of the group, will oversee and coordinate production activities across three manufacturing sites in Italy, ensuring operational efficiency and quality standards. She/he will manage the Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) cycles, align production plans with sales forecasts, and optimize inventory levels. The role involves leading Operational Planners and facilitating relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, the manager will implement and maintain ERP systems to enhance connectivity and improve intercompany relationships.

Responsibilities:

1. Production Planning: Plan and schedule weekly production activities to optimize production processes, improve efficiency and reduce costs.
2. Process Management: Oversee Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) cycles to align production plans with sales forecasts and inventory levels, collecting information from all three plants regarding orders, stock level (3PL) and production adherence.
3. Performance Optimization: Maximize efficiency (OEE) while meeting customer expectations (OTIF, Wastages) and operational restrictions (S&OP bridge).
4. People Management: Lead the team of Operational Planners across EDITA plants and support and foster the relationship-building with key stakeholders (Plants, COM, Procurement, Distribution, Demand team, Finance).
5. Inventory Management: Be responsible for Service Level, wastages on platform by SKU and by plant, avoiding excess stock with a comprehensive and global overview.
6. ERP Implementation: Implement and maintain ERP system to optimize service, enhance connectivity, and improve relationships between production sites and intercompany.
7. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce waste, and enhance Service Level; leading root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
8. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations and Distribution teams to integrate efficiency considerations into all stages of product development and delivery.

What We're Looking For:

Must have:

• Master’s degree
• Italian native speaker and fluent in English
• At least 5 years experience in Production Planning in the FMCG significant sector
