The Production Manager will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, ensuring efficient production, maintaining high-quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in lean production methodologies and a proven track record of implementing lean principles to optimize production processes.
The Production Manager will support the Plant Manager and the business in managing production and costs, according to corporate rules and from a Lean Production perspective. He/She will collaborate with Production Supervisors to manage production and with the HR Manager for the development and retention of resources. His/Her responsibilities include projects of continuous improvement, cost reduction, and elimination of waste in the entire production process, and managing, with the support of the Supply Chain department, the production schedule. To reach the targets, he/she applies the principles of Lean Production with an efficient cascade down to all members of the department, starting with Production Supervisors.
He/She has direct control over production, providing information and suggesting business performance improvements, always based on budget, Company values, and objectives. Provides advice and ideas for future investments and presents the related requests to Corporate. Analyzes department efficiency on a weekly basis, giving particular attention to production plans and maintenance results, helping define resources in line with company size in terms of costs and production. Collaborates with other Company functions for the correct management of suppliers.
Manage and oversee daily production operations to ensure timely and efficient production of high-quality products in compliance with the Stanley Black & Decker guidelines.
