Production Manager Job description

Packly is a dynamic, fast-paced and ever-changing environment; as a Production Manager you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of the packaging production process, both for Campochiaro and Chieti Plant. This includes managing and leading a team of team leaders and workers, monitoring production schedules, ensuring product quality and efficiency, pursuing continuous improvement to optimize the entire production processes.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement production plans, schedules and budget to meet production targets;
2. Oversee production progress, identify and resolve production issues and provide regular reports to Board;
3. Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as sales, maintenance, procurement, HR and quality assurance to ensure smooth production operations;
4. Ensure that the production processes comply with quality standards and regulations and implement corrective actions as needed;
5. Identify opportunities or process improvements and efficiency enhancements and implement best practices to optimize production operations;
6. Lead analysis to solve production issues in order to minimize downtime;
7. Establish and maintain a positive work environment, fostering teamwork, accountability and employee engagement;
8. Conduct performance evaluations, set performance goals and provide training and development opportunities for team members;
9. Coordinate with the logistic and shipping department to ensure timely shipment of finished goods.

Required skills and qualifications:

1. Master Degree in Management, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering;
2. Proven experience in production management, with digital approach, preferably in manufacturing environment (at least 3 years);
3. Strong knowledge of production processes, quality control principles and continuous improvement methodologies;
4. Strong problem-solving and decision making mindset, with a focus on delivering results and improving efficiency;
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop employees;
6. Excellent communication (both in Italian and English) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Procurement, Finance, Quality, HR, Maintenance, Logistics.
