Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Analog Integrated Circuit Design Engineer to join our Cloud and Datacenter (CDC) Business Unit, which is focused on developing advanced switching power supply ICs for the datacenter and communication markets. This role offers the opportunity to lead innovation from concept to implementation and play a crucial role in defining and delivering cutting-edge products.
Key Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with a global analog/mixed-signal design team based in various locations, including Catania (Italy) and Dublin.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business, applications, product definition, product engineering, layout, test engineering, project management, and CAD/EDA, to define, implement, and introduce products to customers.
• Lead the design and development of medium and high-complexity ICs, managing both analog and digital teams from architecture selection through implementation and debugging.
• Engage in mixed-mode IC top-level/block design, transistor-level circuit design, and simulation, utilizing recommended design and verification techniques, tools, and flows to produce efficient designs that meet specifications.
• Ensure successful integration of analog/mixed-signal blocks into larger systems.
• Support other development team functions, such as layout, application, and test engineering, to ensure successful delivery of ICs that meet all requirements.
• Conduct hands-on evaluation and debugging of ICs in the lab.
Requirements :
• Master’s degree in electronic engineering with 8+ years of experience as an analog circuit designer.
• Strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal design, tools, and flows.
• Proven design experience with circuits such as amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, and switching power supply circuits.
• Experience leading the design and development of complex and large mixed-signal ICs.
• In-depth understanding of power supply control architectures.
• Familiarity with BCD process technologies and an understanding of digital IC design.
• Knowledge of physical phenomena such as latch-up, HCI degradation, and other reliability issues.
• Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and communication skills, with the ability to take ownership of top-level subsystems and integration in a mixed-signal environment.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support product definition and customer engagement.
• Proficiency in the English language, both written and spoken.
