NATIONALITY: Eligible for a working permit in Italy
EDUCATION: Professional School in Scientific or Engineering Studies
LANGUAGE: Good knowledge of English and Italian language
EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years’ experience in the same role
SCOPE
Plumbers are responsible for the installation, modification, maintenance, and repair of plumbing fixtures for drainage and water systems. Overseeing the fitting and repair of sanitation systems such as bathtubs, showers, toilets, and sinks.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
● To continually support and improve engineering services that effectively address problems affecting both guests and employees.
● Be willing to train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along knowledge and skills to assist them in their development and the advancement of your own.
● To strive to become an independent mechanic, able to analyze problems and to formulate plans to get work done quickly with a high degree of quality.
● Maintain all taps, basins, toilet seats, bathtubs, and shower mixers in guest rooms.
● Maintain all taps, basins, toilet seats, and shower mixers in public toilets.
● Maintain all pipe networks (domestic water hot or cold and draining water with sewage collectors) in the back of the house.
● Inspect work sites to determine the type and amount of material/equipment required for plumbing work.
● Test plumbing systems to identify leaks and other faults.
● Clean, lubricate, protect, and maintain all tools and equipment in the hotel, ensuring all tools are returned to the shop and secured in the proper storage area.
● Be available for emergencies and act in an engineering capacity to protect our guests and employees, and preserve the building and its systems during emergencies.
● Be aware of all existing departmental Job Safety Analysis and strive to work in an accident-free manner, creating a safe work environment for others.
● Maintain a thorough log of each day’s activities and problems, ensuring this information is passed on to other shifts, keeping all PMP program paper updated.
● Clean all engineering areas as directed by Engineering Management, working in a neat and efficient manner.
● Complete all work assigned in a safe and professional manner, maintaining communications with supervisors to ensure that all needed materials, tools, and supplies are available or on order.
● Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.
● Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag at all times.
