Job DescriptionThe Data Technologies, Analytics and BI Solutions team is responsible for:
- Defining and setting up advanced technological solutions, strategies and standards to manage the overall Company data, to constantly improve automated data exchange within the IT platforms and AI solutions architecture.
- Promoting and managing the transition of the incumbent IT architecture to selected Cloud ecosystems.
- Evaluating the architectural consistency of all the "digital touchpoints".
- Supporting in developing new business/organizational models based on cloud digital platforms, to leverage big data analytics, machine learning capabilities and help the business grow/optimize costs.
- Defining, setting up and managing technology standards and solutions aimed mainly at calculation engines for analytics, Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence/Reporting tools.
- Managing the key Data Technology and Reporting Solutions taking care of their seamless operational functioning.
- Taking care of the development of data architectures functional to business needs, and of their implementation through state-of-the-art technologies and infrastructures.
- Managing requirements gathering and analysis, technical solution design and implementation, maintenance and evolution of related systems and of the other data technology and reporting solutions and their related technological and infrastructural framework.
- Steering and managing the relationship with the external IT vendors providing data technology and reporting solutions and services to the Company, overseeing the service levels delivered and the consistency of the solutions proposed with the overall technology and systems framework of the Company.
- Collaborating with multiple stakeholders, including investment teams, credit research analysts, and portfolio managers, to ensure the seamless adoption of data products that drive business value.
The Platform Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the platform engineering strategy, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of the cloud and DevOps infrastructure.
The role requires deep technical expertise in cloud engineering, infrastructure automation, and platform reliability.
The selected candidate will:
- Oversee and manage external platform engineers, ensuring the effective provisioning and management of infrastructure components on cloud platforms (AWS and Azure) using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
- Lead cloud engineering initiatives by designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud environments, optimizing for performance and cost efficiency.
- Lead the Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and Machine Learning (ML) pipelines, ensuring seamless deployment and monitoring of applications and models.
- Define and execute DevOps strategies, fostering automation, security, and best practices in infrastructure and application deployment.
- Manage the onboarding of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams, ensuring they have the necessary tools and processes to maintain and operate live platforms and managed services.
- Lead enhancements in data infrastructure and architecture, ensuring optimal performance, security, and governance for enterprise data solutions.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with data engineers, ML engineers, and software developers to ensure the seamless integration of cloud-based solutions into the organization's data ecosystem.
RequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in managing platform engineering teams and working with external cloud engineering service providers.
- Strong expertise in AWS and/or Azure cloud environments, including compute, networking, storage, and security best practices.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), including module development, state management, and automation.
- In-depth knowledge of CI/CD pipeline design and implementation, including tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins CI/CD.
- Proficiency in DevOps principles, automation frameworks, and configuration management tools such as Ansible, Helm, and Kubernetes.
- Strong experience in designing and implementing ML pipelines and integrating them with cloud-based environments.
- Familiarity with SRE principles, including monitoring, incident response, and service reliability engineering.
- Experience with cloud networking and security best practices, including IAM, VPC configurations, and identity federation.
- Good knowledge of software engineering principles and best practices and some hands-on experience in python development or any similar language.
Nice to have:
- Master's degree in any Engineering field.
- Experience in the financial or asset management sector.
- Knowledge of multi-cloud architectures and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Experience in distributed computing engines such as Spark and data pipelines.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK/EFK stacks.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in cloud security and compliance (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC2, FINMA).
