Redstone Commodity Search is working with an International Trading House looking to hire a Physical Metals Trader to join in Johannesburg, SA.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Source and sell metal physical commodities.
• Build and nurture customer and supplier relationships whilst also negotiating logistics and financing with suppliers.
• Attend client meetings and industry events (20% travel).
• Develop commercial proposals considering competition and market dynamics and make informed decisions based on this.
• Oversee operations, including logistics, LC, import/export.
• Reports to Commercial Trading Director.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Minimum 3 years physical trading experience; 8 years preferred: Experience in base metals or concentrates.
• Comfortable with risk and change, decisive in decision-making and preferably with a transferable book of business.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Understanding of the fundamentals of metals trading.
• To be located in Johannesburg, SA.
