We are excited to work with this boutique luxury hotel with a global hotel collection brand in the luxury segment. We now currently have a great opportunity for an ambitious and energetic Operations Manager (reporting to the GM) to join their vibrant team in the beautiful location of Sardinia, Italy. To be successful in this role you need to be hands on, be very familiar with LQS standards and speak both the local language and English fluently. You also need to have at least 3 years experience in a similar role and within Luxury hotel brands.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure maximum collaboration between all departments in each sector and supervise their work through daily meetings (reception and night audit, floors and wardrobe, maintenance, concierge and concierge).
  2. Monitor the company GRI daily (in-stay, post-stay questionnaires, social networks) and implement a strategy aimed at constantly improving the hotel's positioning on the online reputation.
  3. Coordinate all arrivals and departures of the hotel, preparing procedures that allow everyone to be welcomed in a personalized manner.
  4. Guide and develop the leaders of the departments assigned to you under direct responsibility and ensure maximum discipline and attention.
  5. Maintain direct contact with the head office, in particular with the Booking, MICE, Foreign, Accounting and Transfers offices.
  6. Responsible for carrying out all operational compliance in reference to ISO 9001, LEGIONELLA, Health & Safety, HACCP.
  7. Carry out regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness, maintenance and guest satisfaction.
  8. Ensure that all departments provide excellent service in the hotel and efficiently and proactively manage guest requests.
  9. Ensure that the company procedures in place are implemented according to standards.
  10. Ensure that hotel guests are correctly registered upon arrival and that all marketing consents are collected.
  11. Check and supervise that check-in and check-out operations are carried out by the FO according to administrative procedures (tax receipts, invoices, tourist taxes, any discounts or special booking details).
  12. Take care of any debt collection operations and ensure that they are successfully completed.
  13. Monitor the performance of site inspections in the facility according to standards.
  14. Ensure the efficiency and safety of the furnishings, equipment and custody of the materials entrusted.
  15. Pay attention to the details of all areas of competence.
  16. Check the correct use of uniforms.
  17. Manage the service hours of the managers of the departments you manage directly, so that all shifts have professional and effective coverage.
  18. Every day make the rounds of all departments and relevant areas.

About you:

  1. Previous experience in hospitality management in a leadership or supervisory role of multiple departments and in properties affiliated with The Leading Hotels of the World.
  2. Excellent technical knowledge of the tasks of the supervised departments and of the LQA standards.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  4. Impeccable organizational, managerial and diplomatic skills.
  5. Particular aptitude for working under pressure and with significant amounts of responsibility.
  6. Excellent customer orientation in a 5-star environment and problem solving, cross-selling and up-selling skills.
  7. Attention to presence and behavior (grooming).
  8. Mastery of the Local language and English language, read, written and spoken and knowledge of a second language (German or French).
