Implements the operation strategy within the Global Center of Competence eMobility (GCoC eMobility) as part of the Global Product Group (GPG) Grid and Power Quality Solutions (GPQS). The mission encompasses the proper hand-over and consistency from solutions releases made by R&D and from project sales to use in business operations, feedback to product management in necessary improvements of existing and new solutions stemming from lesson-learned gathered during operation, proper completion of project and product deliveries into the service phase fulfilling the business performance objectives, and support of localization of the eMobility operational footprint as deemed required by the global eMobility strategy. Key performance indicators include the improvement of business profits from as-sold to as-executed, as well as customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

Main Accountabilities

  1. Manage all aspects related to operations of the eMobility GCoC including the full scope of Project Execution, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Quality & Continuous Improvements and HSE, from as-sold to as-executed project deliveries.
  2. Ensure achievement of established targets, through oversight and definition of improvement actions as needed. Focus on achievement of margin improvement during execution and production, operating cash flow, project on-time and on-cost, requested on-time delivery (ROTD) and cost reduction.
  3. Follow major warranty cases and quality cost drivers for assigned products/system/service and ensure a resolution.
  4. Ensure global and local operations of project and product deliveries from the GCoC are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments. Coordinate and oversee team development and standardized process development to continually improve effectiveness of project execution and production teams.
  5. Actively support the localization of the eMobility business in the HBUs (e.g., in NAM), in alignment with the eMobility strategy and the HBUs.
  6. Support the Supply Chain Management department in selecting suppliers, evaluating the technology and capacity, and determining the best option.
  7. Lead the operational collaboration with strategic partners for manufacturing, product integration and critical supplies as set by the eMobility strategy implementation (in close collaboration with SCM).
  8. Raise and improve the project management and engineering competence in line with the BU and GPG operation strategy.
  9. Support and feedback from execution to the R&D roadmap and investment strategy; ensure proper alignment and hand-over between execution and R&D on engineered solutions and methods.
  10. Cooperate with R&D and HBU teams in the optimization of technical standards and contribute with own engineering team in the definition or configuration of new design rules. Evaluate new process technologies to improve productivity, quality and cost.
  11. Ensure proper alignment and hand-over from sales to execution on projects as-sold.

  13. Validate and support that adequate HSE measures are taken in the respective operations functions and that an HSE culture is implemented and maintained in the organization.
  14. Implement Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) and business compliance standards and regulations within the units. Ensure a safe working environment, and continuous improvement in HSE process and integrity performance.
  15. Develop, customize, and continuously improve standard processes and work instructions. Ensure that lessons learned from project execution and manufacturing are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
  16. Drive quality improvement through target setting, monitoring and benchmarking to continuously improve processes. Execute quality management for monitoring and validating day to day control of processes. Drive continued improvements in productivity, delivery performance and cost optimization.
  17. Participate in the budgeting process, jointly with the GCoC Manager and Controller.
  18. Participate in Sales and Operations Planning with other members of the GCoC and take actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.
  19. Develop and propose the estimated budget of investments necessary for the development of the capacity and workforce of the GCoC operational team. Execute the capabilities and workforce planning as set forth, including hiring of new team members, training of the team, and improvement of the competence of the function.

Your background:

  1. People management experience is mandatory.
  2. Fluent in English and Italian.
  3. Ability to organize & prioritize to meet the specifications and deadlines.
  4. A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, and strong communication skills.
  5. Ability to adapt and manage fast-paced environment and ability to change direction when priorities, deadlines etc. shift.
  6. Team player, analytical mindset and the ability to motivate others as well as continuous change & learning.
